National Vietnam War Veterans Day

                                                                        1967-1969

Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. I like to take a moment to thank those who fought so bravely so many years ago.

(Copied form the Internet)
"29 March is a fitting choice for a day honoring Vietnam veterans. It was chosen to be observed in perpetuity as March 29, 1973 was the day United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disestablished and also the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam Day."
Although my husband was not in Vietnam, he was in the Pacific in Taipei, Taiwan for two years working in his trained field as communications technician. Without the support of all of the Vietnam Era Military, those that were 'in country' could not have done their jobs.
We appreciate you all! Thank you for your service.

Spring is Coming!

The weather this week looks like anything but Spring, but the facts remain. It's on its way. So here's a little spring picture for you.

Imagine yourself at a warm beach or relaxing in a back yard lawn chair with one of my books in your hands. The warm breeze moves across your body, flowers are blooming everywhere, the birds are singing , and the squirrels are scampering around a nearby tree. Off in the distance you hear a dog bark and you are helpless to keep your eyes open. Are you dreaming of Skye and Rem? Are you wondering what has happened to Cade? Are you trying to guess what is in store for our time-travelers? The answers are coming soon. I promise. And I never break a promise.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I wrote about the McCauley family in honor of my Irish heritage.  I didn't know they would steal my heart.  Let me know if they do the same for you.

The Ides of March

The Ides of March is Upon Us, Beware the Ides of March.
Do you believe in superstitions? Typically, this day is considered a bad luck day similar to Friday the 13th, which has no meaning for me at all. I simply don't pay any attention to it.
Today is far from a bad luck day for me, because I can announce to all of my audio listeners that The 13th Lighthouse, Book #1 of The Lighthouse Trilogy, is now available on audio! I am slowly going through all of my books, so I will follow up with The Painted Duck on audio soon.
I have to say it was fun re-visiting my old friends again and spending time with Belle as she traveled West Michigan while trying to solve the unanswered questions her mother left behind after her death.
If you haven't given The Lighthouse Trilogy a try, you might enjoy reading this romantic, family saga. It's also available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and in paperback. Here's the link.
And don't forget to help a gal out and leave those all important reviews.
Thank you for reading Jane O'Brien books!

And As Promised!

Yes, I know.  I promised another announcement, so here it is.

I have finally settled on my next book cover and I"m giving you a sneak peek.  Now don't hold me to it; there may be some tweaks along the way, but for the most part, this is it.

What do you think?  Can you guess what is about to happen?  I suspect you would be wrong, but that's part of the fun; isn't it? Let me know your thoughts.  I'd love to hear them.

Audio Books are Ready!

I have two things to tell you today, but I'm going to force myself to save one of them until tomorrow, so don't forget to come back.

My announcement for today is for all of you audio listeners. I am so excited to say that The Unforgettables has been completed for audio. All 6 books are now available.

What? You don't have time to listen to something new? OR you think you would rather read a book (which I personally get completely) instead of having one read to you?
But if you are in the car a lot, listening to books can be amazing. And if you like to take some time during the day to work on a hobby, it's a perfect way to be alone and yet not be alone. Another voice talking to you can be very soothing.
And think of the book titles on your Want to Read List you'll be able to cover. Read when you can and listen you can.
You don't like to read more than one book at a time, you say? Hmm. I used to say the same thing, and then I realized how many TV shows are series. And how many of those I watch while waiting week to week for the next episode.
So there! You have no excuses. Give audio books a shot. As a matter of fact, each of my titles offers a free sample to listen to before you make your final decision.
Here's a link to the first book in The Unforgettables, Ruby and Sal. I'll let you take it from there. Thank you for giving my audio books a try. You might be surprised that you like them.
And by the way, all 12 of A Slip in Time and the first book of Branches of Time, Skye, are also on Audible.

Happy March

We made it to March 1st! Is it just me or did this winter fly by? Usually it drags on forever, and I know our weather isn't done playing tricks on us yet, but nothing can stop spring from coming, and that's the truth. (I almost felt like Lily Tomlin needed to give us a raspberry there 🙂
Anyway, St. Patrick's Day will be here in two shakes, so it give me the opportunity to remind you of my first series, The White Pine Trilogy, which is about an Irish American family in West Michigan. I didn't name the cities back then, but book 1 is meant to be in Newaygo, book 2 is meant to be in Muskegon, and book 3 is meant to be in Ludington. These three are not in the time travel genre, but are romances, with a twist of history, mystery, and family entanglements. If you're interested, here's the link to the series. Paperback, Kindle, and always free on Kindle Unlimited. (Soon to be in Audible)
Happy March!

Bk1: The Tangled Roots of Bent Pine Lodge
Bk2: The Dunes and Don'ts Antiques Emporium
Bk 3: The Kindred Spirit Bed and Breakfast
Bonus Bk 3.5: A Kindred Christmas (a novella)
